Kali

Hindu mythology

The Dark Mother who wears a necklace of skulls and dances on corpses, and is also the liberator, the destroyer of ignorance, the fierce protector. Creation and destruction as inseparable aspects of the feminine divine.

Kali doesn't destroy despite being the Mother. She destroys BECAUSE she is the Mother. Destruction is an act of love when what's being destroyed is illusion.

The pattern underneath: The Great Mother. The biggest version of the Mother: nature itself as a force that creates and destroys.
